History Of All Fur Radio
Our founder and owner Markus Damone, alongside with three co-owners
(who had since resigned), began AllFurRadio March of 2006 in SecondLife (SL). At its infancy, it was apparent that AllFurRadio (AFR) was going to become something huge. Within three days the station had grown massively with broadcasters, listeners, and even began to take the Furnation sim cluster by storm. By the end of the second month, AFR was booming. It held satellite locations in most major sim clusters inside SL. It was not until July of 2007 when the Furry Fandom got to hear AFR for the first time outside of SL. Anthrocon (AC) 2007 was the first time ever that a radio station had broadcast live at a Furry convention. All of this took place not only at AC’s Dealer Den but also down the street at a restaurant named Fernando’s. From 2007 to 2011, AFRadio has done even more broadcasts at locations such as Further Confusion (San Fransico), Rocky Mountain’s Fur Con (Colorado), and recurring visits to Anthrocon (Pittsburg). As we quickly rosed to the top during those exciting six years, we also expanded our expertise to another platform: Furcadia (which before then never had a radio station in any Dreams). Easily, AFR was the top choice for Furry listeners.
However, in 2011 the founder of AFR had come across some problematic times within his personal life, causing the station to shut down. Thus AFR would go radio silent for six years. That all ended when Markus Damone decided that the Fandom needed its’ voice back. On September 23rd, 2017, AFRadio was reborn. Now, AllFurRadio is back and better than ever. Not only are we bringing you exceptional broadcasters but we are also hosting live interviews with Furries like 2 the Ranting Gryphon and Varka from Bad Dragon! To top that off, AllFurRadio was the first ever radio station to broadcast live at Furrydelphia (Philadelphia) in 2018.
