Over 18?

AllFurRadio is a mature station. The owners of AllFurRadio are also located in the United States, which happens to be where our home office is as well. Under the laws of the United States you must be 18 or older in order to work (weather under employ or voluntarily) for a mature organi-zation. As long as you are over 18, AllFurRadio will not use your age to discriminate against your elligability.

Time Zone

Please choose which time zone you are in. This will help us to determine a time to set up for an interview and a time to schedule for meetings and dj sessions.
Week Schedule

Please tell us when you are available. The schedule for dj's is flexible and may be shuffled around. If not available on a day, please put not available.
Job Types

We have 11 job types in our station. Please choose one.
DJ

DJ's on the schedule will be required to take the stream for a minimum of one show a week. Each show is required to be no less than two hours.

If you are unable to commit to a scheduled show, you may opt to be a floater DJ. A Floater DJ is one that can DJ whenever he/she has time and Furball is on the schedule during such time.
Event Coordinator

The EVENT TEAM is resposible for setting up events, finding places to hold events, telling DJ's that are on the schedule where to be and what day, asking for a volunteer DJ if none are on the schedule for that day, asking businesses in SL to donate prizes to be given away at contests, getting important information to the Production Team and Art Development Team if the events are labeled as MAJOR.
Public Relations

The PUBLIC RELATIONS TEAM is responsible for taking suggestions and/or complaints from listeners, making sure the businesses that are paying to advertise both on our website and the air are happy with our services, making sure the live DJ's are playing the promotions on air, making sure our sponsors in SL that are streaming us are happy with our services.
Advertisements

The ADVERTISEMENT TEAM will be responsible for selling ad space on our website or promotions to be played on air. They must also get the proper information to the Productions Team and the Art Development Team for the advertisements.
Productions

The Productions team is responsible for cutting new promotions (commercials) and station identifications.
Personnel

The PERSONNEL TEAM will be responsible for interviewing applicants to AllFurRadio. Interviews will be held by the Personnel Team for all positions with in the station. Instructors for TRAINING DJ's on Sam Broadcaster and just being a RADIO PERSONALITY also fall under the Personnel Team. Any Displinary actions for misconduct or breaking the Standard Proceedures will be recorded and issued by the CEO of Personnel.
Tech Support

The TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM is responsible for troubleshooting the programs AllFurRadio uses. We use Sam Broadcaster 4, Virtual Audio Cable, Virtual DJ. In the future we do hope to have other programs for staff to use that require networking knowledge. Our webmaster will also occassionally require assistance with web languages such as PHP, CSS, HTML, and others.
Marketing

The MARKETING TEAM is responsible for going into Secondlife and finding new venues (clubs) for AllFurRadio to play in. Also the team will go around telling people about the station, the web address, to tune in when there is a live DJ, tell people about planned events, and let people know they can buy air time for promotions and advertise on our website and get them hooked up with the Advertisement Team.
Art Developement

The ART DEVELOPMENT TEAM will be responsible for ILLUSTRATIONS needed for the website, advertisement banners for the website, advertisements for use in SecondLife for events, AllFurRadio banners for use at Conventions that AllFurRadio will have tables, etc. etc.
Forum Admin

The FORUM ADMINS TEAM will be responsible for moderating the AllFurRadio forums, designing the look of the forum, getting the Production Team to make promotions for the Forum, getting the Art Development Team to design graphics for the forum, etc. etc.
Surveys and Polls

The SURVEYS AND POLLS TEAM will be responsible for designing, running, and updating the AllFurRadio Surveys and Polls and contests. They will also be responsible for getting the proper departments envolved with the Surveys, Polls, and Contests.
DJ Name

This will be your DJ name while you are on air. If no other staff member already has this name it will be yours.
Connection Speed

Please give both upload and download speeds. We broadcast from a stream using a bit rate of 192kbps. We need to know if the bitrate for your internet connection can handle broadcasting at this speed. This section will help you to test that speed. Please go to this site speedtest.net to run the free test. Simply click the pyramid closest to you.

Please Note *We will provide the software needed to broadcast. The software will broadcast your music to our server. That is the only bandwidth that will be used on your side. All Listeners bandwidth counts against our server and not you.
Hours of Music

We do ask that you have more than 20 hours of music. This means creating a playlist and it would last more than 20 hours before a song repeated. We broadcast in the mp3 format.
Number of MP3's

The broadcast program we use works best with MP3 format. The more mp3's you have on hand makes for a better show. If you have more than 500 mp3's you will be great to go.
Experience

Please tell us about any experience you have in DJ'ing or performing. To be a good DJ you must be able to entertain. If you can be interesting or funny, you will be able to draw more listeners while you are on the air. Performing arts experience can always be a plus.
